Passing through the narrow alleys of the area the tour goes along with the visit of the Tiber island, called Isola Tiberina, where the oldest hospital of the city is located. Crossed the river you will see a huge temple complex called “portico d’Ottavia”, which is included in the the old Jewish ghetto. During the imperial age the old market was housed in the Jewish district. Walking through the small streets of the ghetto you will experience the beauty of the turtle’s fountain built by Gianlorenzo Bernini and the church of S.Carlo ai Catinari. The tour ends at Giordano Bruno’s square where the modern open-air market is located.
