Day 1: Florence Grand Panoramic + Welcome to Florence Tour. Meet your guide at Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence for a scenic morning drive by comfortable minivan. Enjoy panoramic views of the domes and bridges of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo, before heading to the Etruscan town of Fiesole, driving through some of the lesser known suburbs of Florence. Return to Florence for a guided walking tour of the historic center. The 1.5-hour walking tour gives you a great overview of the city’s 2,000-year history, from its Roman origins to its emergence in the Renaissance. Go to a 15th-century palace and the jewelry stores of the covered Ponte Vecchio across the Arno River. Marvel at the facade of the Uffizi Gallery, and gaze in awe at Brunelleschi’s Dome overlooking the Baptistery’s “Gates of Paradise”.
Day 2: The Best Places in Tuscany with Dinner in Piazza del Campo. Meet your guide at Santa Maria Novella Station for the transfer to Pisa. See the famous Leaning Tower on Piazza dei Miracoli, one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Admire the impressive Cathedral and Baptistery, before enjoying a Tuscan typical lunch accompanied by regional wines, in a characteristic winery or restaurant. Continue to the medieval hilltop village of San Gimignano, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved palazzos, piazzas and towers from the Middle Ages. Next, drive the scenic roads of the Chianti wine region en route to Siena, home of the legendary Palio horse race. A local guide will take you to Piazza del Campo, where the Palio di Siena is held.
